When Dennis Quaid’s new bride calls out to him from another room of their home, two Dennises will appear at the door.
The 66-year-old actor heard that there was a cat named for him at the Lynchburg Humane Society in Virginia and has set out to adopt the new furry friend.
Joking in a recent interview, he said, “It was really off the wall, but I just couldn’t resist. I had to,” adding, “I’m out to save all the Dennis Quaids of the world.” If rescue agencies are looking to speed up their “Clear the Shelters” events, Quad advises, “Maybe they should start naming animals in shelters after different celebrities and see who bites.”
