Do you tell her why you buy that perfume?

“Every year I give my girlfriend perfume along with other gifts. She likes it, but the real reason I buy it is because my ex wore it and it reminds me of her. I know it’s not right, but I do love my girlfriend and I’m happy with her. Do I need to tell her the reason I’ve been buying it?”
