Should you reuse toothpicks and floss?

“I just started dating a girl who reuses her toothpicks and floss until they break. She says she sanitizes them and ‘they work just as good as new, so why create more waste?’ I’m grossed out a bit and it’s all I can think about when we kiss.
Is it gross, or is it not as bad as it seems?”
