Is it unsanitary to let your dog lick your plate?

“My new roommate has an issue with my dog licking my plate and utensils when I’m done eating. She thinks it’s gross because she can’t tell if the dishes are clean. I’ve told her if it’s dirty it’s in the sink, otherwise it’s clean!
Am I being a bad roommate? Do I need to stop?”
