Your Amazon package might be a bit more expensive starting next month. The retail giant is adding a ‘Holiday Peak Fulfillment Fee’ to third-party transactions, starting Oct. 15th and running through Jan. 14th of next year. The surcharge will average out to 35 cents per package for any seller using the ‘Fulfillment by Amazon’ service. It’s the first time Amazon has charged such a fee, which it says will help cover “increased operating costs during this holiday peak period”. Do you do your holiday shopping online, or do you still prefer brick-and-mortar stores?
