Moments after the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 57 on Sunday, fans could be seen wearing shirts and hats that touted their team’s championship victory — meaning they’d been produced in advance for both teams. So what happens to the Eagles’ championship merch? It will be sent overseas, where thousands of needy people will soon be keeping warm in clothing that celebrates what might have been, says Romaine Seguin, CEO of Good360. Seguin’s company has worked with the NFL for the past nine years, forwarding the unusable gear to people who need it. “It goes to countries where someone needs a hat on their head because they’re out in the beaming sun all day, or they need a shirt on their back,” Seguin says. “It’s such a great move.” The people who receive the items — who live in such areas as Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East — likely won’t even know they’re benefiting from the Eagles’ loss, Seguin adds. “They don’t know who won or who lost — or probably not even what they’re wearing,” he says. Do you have a shirt or hat that touts something that didn’t actually happen?
